What is home staging?
Home staging is the act of preparing a home for sale in the real estate marketplace. Typically, home staging specifically refers to rearranging or renting furniture to showcase the property in its best light. The goal of staging is to make a home appealing to the highest number of potential buyers, thereby selling a property more swiftly and for more money.
Why should I stage my home?
The US HAUD reports that a staged home will sell for, on average, 17% higher than a vacant home. And the National Association of Realtors reports that staged homes sell approximately 67% faster than vacant homes.
What different levels of staging do you offer?
Parker Rose Design offers 3 levels of home staging to fit just about any project or budget:
– PRXpress is perfect for condominiums or smaller homes that need to show the best layout for a home with quality styled and properly scaled furniture.
– PR Signature is perfect for luxury real estate that needs to show much closer to a model home look and feel. This level shows a full amount of furnishings and accessories tailored to the home and buyer demographic.
– PR Ultimate is the best fit for model homes and luxury real estate.
This is our fullest level of furnishings that may include custom purchased pieces to show a specific style needed to do a home justice.
How much does it cost?
Parker Rose pricing is based off of the square footage needing to be staged and the level of staging appropriate for your project. Costs can vary between $3-$10 per square foot for 90 days of staging. Our square footage pricing makes it simple and easy to receive a ballpark estimate on your particular project. Please reach out through our Contact page for or give us a call and we can give you a quote over the phone.
Do you offer free consultations?
Yes, absolutely. There is no cost for us to come out to your home or project to consult with you on your staging needs.
When should I hire a designer?
Typically, clients hire an interior designer when they are working towards more permanent furniture solutions for the home they are living in or planning to move into. Staging is a better solution for selling a home, as the results can be achieved more quickly and for much less money than with most interior design firms.
What areas do you serve?
Parker Rose serves all of Southern California, including the Palm Springs desert region. We also service most of Northern California; from Silicon Valley, to San Francisco, and to Oakland in the East Bay.
What types of clients do you work with?
We work with many different types of clients involved in home sales or even home rental. We work with Realtors, Home Owners, Builders & Developers and Property Management firms.
What if someone wants to buy the furniture with the house?
Parker Rose uses only residential grade furniture, which means if the home buyer wishes to purchase the furniture with the home, they will be receiving quality furniture that will last. For the home seller, we offer an 80% rebate on their initial home staging contract if all furnishings sell. It creates a win-win for both the seller and the buyer.
Do you do custom staging?
Yes, we absolutely do custom stagings. Our PR Ultimate Level staging is considered very customized. And we have the ability to provide additional custom pieces to tailor to a very specific look, such as custom designed art work and access to purchasing specialized furniture pieces.
Is there a fee minimum?
There is no minimum fee for home staging. We evaluate each project based on its unique needs and budget.
What happens when my project is over (sold)?
Parker Rose’s pricing is all-inclusive of design, delivery, installation, furniture, art, accessories and pickup of the furniture once the home sells. Just give us as much advanced notice as possible to pick up your project and we’ll take care of the rest.
